New Features

The Outback was redesigned in 2020, resulting in few new features for 2021. However, these include adaptive headlamps, a rear-seat reminder system, and a passenger's seatbelt warning light and chime. These new features are standard across the whole lineup so you won't need to pay more to enjoy them.

Performance

Under the hood is your choice of two reliable SUBARU BOXER engines--the 2.5 L 4-cylinder direct-injection with 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque, and the 2.4 L 4-cylinder Turbocharged direct-injection with 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. Each comes with an efficient version of the Lineartronic CVT that has been refined for greater efficiency, reduced noise, and heightened driveability. Both drivetrains are fully integrated with the Subaru Symmetrical Full-Time AWD system for maximum control and comfort under all road conditions.

Infotainment

When it comes to keeping you entertained and up to speed, the Subaru Outback delivers a standard dual 7-inch infotainment system that can be upgraded depending on your trim level. Featuring Bluetooth connectivity, dual USB port control, auxiliary audio input, and steering wheel integrated controls, you'll be able to stay conveniently connected wherever the road takes you. It's also Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible so you can access select apps from your phone.
