A Reliable Mystery
Well, there's only a small amount of confirmed information available. However, as it's building upon such a reliable and trusted background, we know it'll be a worthwhile investment. As the model debuted five years ago, we can expect a new version of it either next year or the following year. Often, the cycle for a new model begins every fifth year.
Design-wise, it'll likely feature many elements, such as the new Forester fixed with Subaru's rugged stylings to top off the design.
What We Can Expect
We can likely expect the Outback Wilderness to return as this SUV's most popular and outdoor-ready version for the new year. We can expect that it'll still embody Subaru's award-winning safety technology, such as X-MODE. Other features we can expect include the latest EyeSight Driver Assist Technology and Emergency Automatic Steering.
It's a reasonable expectation that there won't be a fully electric option available for the Outback this coming year. In 2023, Subaru introduced the Soltera, a dedicated battery vehicle similar in size to the Outback. However, due to emission regulations, we’ll probably see more hybrid options for Subaru this coming year.
What We Know From Previous Years
While we expect the model to be redesigned and upgraded, we can still expect to see some features from the previous years.
Packed With Connective Technology
The infotainment system for the current model is an 11.6-inch tablet-style touchscreen. Audio for the vehicle is a set of four or six regular speakers or, on higher trims, 12 premium Harman Kardon speakers. The system includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for connectivity with your mobile devices.
Trims
Currently, there are seven trims for the 2024 Subaru Outback. These trims are Convenience, Touring, Onyx, Limited, Wilderness, Limited XT, and Premier XT. The Wilderness is the most outdoor-ready option, while the premier offers the most luxury and comfort features.
Design and Comfort
The Outback has a rugged yet smooth exterior design that stands out on the road and is complimented by its spacious interior. Interior LED lighting helps illuminate the cabin. Various storage compartments for the doors, seat pockets, and a centre console/armrest. All in all, the SUV seats five inside and features fold-down seats for adaptive cargo management.
